Amazonia

Included in our trip to Bolivia in January 2024 was a two-day trip in a small ‘lancha’ (motorised flat-bottomed canoe) along the Yacuma River, a tributary to Amazon.

It was surreal gliding past caimans (crocodiles), capybaras (the world’s largest rodent), monkeys, tortoises, butterflies and birds galore … all with our 1-year-old grandson in our arms.
